1. Max is angry with the doctor because the doctor didn’t save Freak. He gets over his anger when he realizes that she couldn’t have saved him, not that she wouldn’t.
2. The empty book’s purpose is to tell people about the adventures of Freak the Mighty.
3. When Loretta Lee says “Nothing is a drag kid. Think about it.” She means doing nothing is boring, depressing and nothing is bad.
4. One theme from the book is accepting others. If Max didn’t accept Freak then they never would have become best friends.
1: When Freak dies Max gets angry with Dr. Spivak because he believed she would help him by giving him the special opperation with the robotic stuff. He gets over his anger when Dr. Spivak tells him the truth, and that there wasn't any operation, that Freak only made it up to hope for something.
2: Freak gives Max the empty book to write down the memmories that they had together, he knew he would die soon, and he wanted every thing recorded, so it could be remembered forever. Also, he might think that it will help Max to write, which it kind of does. Again, this shows how kind and caring Freak is.
3: When Loretta Lee says, " Nothing is a drag, kid. Think about it." She means that you can't waste your life, because it's really pretty short, and every second you take being upset is another second you lose of happiness, and you can never get it back, so you should enjoy life while you have it.
4: One of the author themes in this book was, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." In my opinion this is an important theme because, you can look at someone like, say, Kevin, and say, " Wow, that kid is weird," or you can say, " you know, he may be different, but if I give him a chance, it could be alright." This time, Max gives him a chance, and he finally has happiness, and even cries because it felt so good. Kevin was probablly one of the kindest people he would ever meet, one of the most genorous, and kind.

1.In my opinion Max is angery with Dr.Spivak because Freak made up this "lie" that Max belived and he thought that Dr.Spivak and the nurses didn't do a good enough job replacing Freak body parts and Max thought that made Freak die.
2. In my opinion Freak gives Max the empty book because Freak knew he was going to die and wanted Max to be able to remember him by writing down all of their "quests" and things they did together.
3. In my opinion when Loretta said "Nothing is a drag, kid. Think about it." because Loretta knew what was the matter Max and when Max said "Nothing" Loretta meant that since Freak died it has been a drag following Max around haunting like his father that if he could get over his father he can get over this.
4. In my opinion the one of the main ideas in the book is: Even if there is something following you,that won't go away, you can always make it go away if you think positively. I thought this because in this book Max has a lot of problems and he got over them all if he writes in the empty book and reads it every day he might feel better. Because he is thinking positively.

Max is angry with Dr. Spivik because he felt that she was responsible for Freaks life and she let freak go so Max became kicker because he didn’t understand that Kevin couldn’t live as long as he wanted
The real purpose of the Empty Book was if Kevin Didn’t make it he could write down or record their adventures of slaying dragons and fools and walking high above the world before he forgot enough detail to re live the magical adventures of freak the mighty.
In my opinion when Loretta Lee said “Nothing is a drag Kid” she meant That what ever something is it has some use and a purpose. She was trying to say to Max that Kevin lived a short but good life and that Max made his last year his best by creating Freak The Mighty.
In my opinion one of the authors messages is make the best of your time because in the long run life is short. If you sit around and waste your time (in the black down under) you wont get any enjoyment out of life.
